My name is Edina, and I play the guitar over 20 years, and started with flamenco about 15 years ago. I am a qualified guitar teacher, and won the Lukas (UK latin) award in 2019 as the best jazz-folk act of the year with my Spanish guitar duo, De Fuego. I helped thousands of people to master the triplet or the rumba techniques, and with my method they were able to get it after many failed attempt.

This course will be fun and will spice up your playing and also will introduce you to the world of flamenco. I hope later you will also use these techniques to play or compose your original music.

Edina’s excellent video demonstrations and the book were very helpful for me to learn these techniques I could only approximate before. Start slowly with a metronome, get them down, and work up the tempo! I have much left to learn, but her teaching style helps enormously!

I found the videos very helpful for me . Adina goes through the strumming techniques, explains how and what to do . The different angles that are provided also . Though I am a beginner and new guitar . I ll keep practicing using what I’m learning . Thank you Adina for your course , Spanish Guitar

The course has a nice review of music theory, which is also a great introduction for beginners. In particular, chapter 4 helped me understand intervals. The chapters on the strumming techniques are clear and complemented by the videos. It is easy to start the strumming techniques; however, it takes time to work up to 130 bpm. Nonetheless, one can quickly sound great using the strumming techniques even at a lower bpm. The author is willing to help make things clear if you are struggling with a particular technique (above and beyond what is expected).

This work is a pretty well thought out and presented introduction to Spanish guitar for the compete newbie.

The descriptions of strumming and golpe patterns can be a little hard to figure out at first but after a bit of trial and error it works out pretty well. For those used to tablature in North America it again can take some getting used to. It was this that had me rate it 4 out of 5 stars. Would have been 5 out of 5 had it been a little easier to get the hang of.

Having said that it becomes a fairly easy to follow, descriptive method to learning the basic elements of Spanish guitar and is well worth the cost of the download.

Wow, Edina makes it look so easy! Surprise – it’s not. I have to overcome strumming habits learned over the years, so progress has been slow. But I am excited because I’ve always wanted to learn to play flamenco and rumba styles. I wish Edina had put even more detail into her course, however. For instance, details about playing with nails would be helpful. E.g., when I hit the guitar body, should I strike with my nails or the flat of my fingers? When I strum from treble to bass with my index finger, my nail tends to get caught, but I need that nail for finger-picking and classical performance. Maybe these and other issues are covered later in the course; as I said, I’m slow to progress. In any case, I am delighted to have Edina’s new course and I am looking forward to mastering the techniques. This is the best course I have seen since it focuses just on strumming
